Abstract
This research examines the propositional influence of the verses of the Holy Quran in the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyah through an intertextual approach. In his supplications, Imam al-Sajjad (AS) recreated Quranic verses in the text of prayer by employing three main mechanisms: verbal quotation, allusion, and explicit reference. This intertextual interaction, grounded in Julia Kristeva’s theory, occurs through the repetition of the absent text (the Quran) in the present text (the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyah) without altering its content. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the data were collected through a comparative examination of passages from the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyah and related Quranic verses. Beyond preserving the authenticity of the Quranic text, propositional influence serves four functions: providing a practical interpretation of Quranic concepts through the language of supplication, enhancing the literary richness of the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyah through association with the eloquence of the Quran, fostering a spiritual bond between the audience and divine knowledge, and ensuring the sequential transmission of Quranic concepts to later generations. The findings indicate that the propositional influence of verses manifests in the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyah through reciprocal interaction in three forms: quotation, allusion, and explicit reference.
