ABSTRACT
Given that prayer in Nahj al-Balagha is not merely an act of worship, but also a tool for deepening religious beliefs, moral refinement, and social advancement, it is essential to systematically examine its dimensions. The main issue of this research is to identify and analyze the different dimensions of prayer in Nahj al-Balagha. The purpose of the present study is to analyze the position and various dimensions of prayer in Nahj al-Balagha, conducted through a descriptive method and a qualitative approach (content analysis) using the grounded theory method. This method was chosen because of its ability to extract conceptual patterns and explain semantic relationships between concepts related to prayer in the text of Nahj al-Balagha. A systematic analysis of prayer in this context requires uncovering the interactions among its various dimensions and modeling its conceptual structure. Data were collected through documentary and library research and analyzed using MAXQDA 2022 software in two stages: open coding and axial coding. The findings showed that in Nahj al-Balagha, from the words of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (peace be upon him), the significance of prayer has been specifically and extensively elaborated. In this analysis, seven dimensions (religious and spiritual, minor jihad, economic, individual, social, moral, and political) and seven components (monotheism, justice, prophethood, imamate, resurrection, moral purification, and emotional) were extracted from the text of Nahj al-Balagha. To better explain the findings, the dimensions and components obtained through axial coding were organized into a conceptual model.
