The Relationship between Observance of Etiquettes and Righteous Deeds with Prayer Acceptance according to Verse 10 of Surah Fatir
Abstract
Prayer is a means of requesting needs and desires from Almighty God and the key to attaining valuable treasures. In order to achieve his goals and desires, and in times of hardship and poverty, man reaches out his needy hands to God and prays to Him for help. However, the acceptance of prayer requires the fulfillment of certain conditions. In the present study, the conditions for accepting prayers and responding to the requests of God's servants have been investigated according to verse 10 of Surah Fatir and based on the laws governing the universe. Islamic sources have been used to obtain and analyze texts with the keywords of prayer acceptance, laws of the universe, observance of prayer etiquettes, and righteous deeds. Based on the findings from verses and traditions, especially verse 10 of Surah Fatir, two conditions are necessary for prayer to be answered: one is the observance of appropriate etiquette while praying, and the other is performing sufficient righteous deeds. Almighty God has created the universe and governs it according to laws. The acceptance of prayer is not an exception to these laws, and if the conditions are not met, the desired result will not be achieved, and the prayer will not be answered. According to verse 10 of Surah Fatir, by observing these two conditions, the effects of prayer will manifest, and the prayer will be accepted by God.
